Scout has officially been in our lives, Maggie’s and mine, for 2 weeks and 2 days – before that she was “just visiting”
these past two weeks have been an adjustment – new job, new puppy, new life – but I wouldn’t change it for anything
everything happens for a reason, I think, and Scout was obviously meant to be a part of my life – just as much as someone else was not

Yup, in this case pictures really are worth a few thousand words. Scout (and Maggie, of course!) look so happy.
There’s something to be said for taking one’s cues for living from a dog. I can’t think of many other living beings that get so much joy out of each moment, or who take spontaneity to new heights. We should all be so blessed!
