either your are wrong and you are not safe with him, hence the mistrust…
or you really are safe with him and are wrong and can actually trust him?????

Whoo Ruby got all deep there and I started at the screen for a really long time wondering about that.
If it is him you don’t trust, I don’t think you can feel completely secure. But that’s just me putting myself in your shoes. I’m going to think on this and come back though.

Speaking from a situation with the same elements, I don’t think you can do both. I used to trust this person, but never felt quite utterly and completely safe. I now know I shouldn’t trust and have good reason not to feel safe.
*no there is no physical abuse, but sometimes words can be more hurtful
